I was given the task of honoring the 35-year career of Lily-Anne Tremblay, a primary school teacher at Au Petits Bois school. The goal was to represent all these years of dedication through a completely custom piece, drawing inspiration from her students, the little school in the woods, the numerous ski trips, and the little rabbit that accompanied the students throughout the year, all through the touching lyrics of the song "Droit Devant" by Les Cowboys Fringants:
“Seuls quelques-uns se hissent en haut et réussissent à planter leur drapeau.”
Being a teacher is an honorable profession, and it was an honor for me to illustrate this journey and mark this milestone.
